Gavin here (owner of SureVoIP). Today I’ve made the classic mistake of leaving home with out my mobile (I use an Android smartphone). I feel totally naked! What are my options then?
- Turn around and get it, but be late for a meeting with our PR company
- Buy a new Pay As You Go one for the day
- Use my SureVoIP Hosted VoIP account via my mobile broadband tongle, softphone and laptop
- Use my VPN connection to connect to the office via a softphone on my laptop to our office VoIP system as a remote worker
So I opted to go the day without it and I am sitting in a Hotel reception using the SureVoIP Hosted VoIP account. I can make and receive calls to my staff, use Instant Messaging on our Hosted E-mail and generally relax a little bit until my next meeting at 2pm (plus write this on the SureVoIP Blog).
All is not lost and this really does work, which allows me to work from anywhere as long as I can get either Wi-Fi or mobile broadband. I love technology!
